![]() ![]() The Mandolin Symposium Repair Clinic This year we are pleased to offer a new feature to our already impressive line-up. The Mandolin Symposium Repair Shop will be staffed by luthier Lynn Dudenbostel who will make himself available for repair and set-up work on mandolins during the week. Check with Ruffo about repairs for other instruments. This is not a class or elective but a service to benefit the Mandolin Symposium Scholarship fund.
About Lynn
With a deep love for music from a very young age, it wasn’t until he was in his late 20’s that Lynn Dudenbostel turned to the workbench to satisfy his musical creativity. Inspired by the Martin guitars and Gibson mandolins of the 1920’s and 1930’s, Lynn completed his first guitar in 1989, with an eye toward building mandolins down the road. Even though lutherie was just a hobby, it wasn’t long until it became far more than that. In 1997 Lynn left his “day job” to pursue lutherie as a full-time career. Since then, Lynn’s reputation for producing world-class guitars and mandolins has put his work in high demand. This year, he joins the Mandolin Symposium to head up the “Repair Clinic” where his will provide repair and set-up services for Symposium attendees.
