REGISTRATION

The Mandolin Symposium is held at the beautiful University of Santa Cruz on the Kresge College Campus. Last year this Campus proved to be a wonderful facility with lots of classroom space and housing onsite. Mandolin Symposium Fees are $450. This Fee includes our opening party on Monday evening at 8PM, all classes, concerts and evening events hosted by us. Housing Costs are separate from Symposium Fees.

HOUSING

Symposium Housing is in the University of Santa Cruz student apartments. These apartments are multiple bedrooms apartments with a living room and kitchen. However, the stoves are disabled during the summer months. There is enough housing at the campus for most of us to each have our own bedrooms in shared apartments (Single Occupancy). When the singles are full, we will still have double occupancy available. If you are attending the Symposium with another student that is a friend and you want to share a bedroom within an apartment with them, we will offer you a special double occupancy housing rate of $610 each person. Please indicate on your Registration Form that you will be sharing a Bedroom along with your roommates’ name. The Symposium will not be assigning roommates. You and your roommate will need to be registered and your total Registration paid by April 15, 2008 in order to have a double occupancy, otherwise your balance due will be the $500 and you will be assigned Single Occupancy Housing.

  • Student Housing Costs (6 nights at UCSC single occupancy and all meals).
    First meal Monday June 23 dinner, and depart on Sunday June 28, 2008

Payment of $660 is required with registration and is refundable (minus a $100 Application fee) until April 15, 2008. Registration will stay open until classes are full. Sorry no refunds of Deposits after April 15, 2008. Balance of $500 is due by April 15, 2008.

OFF CAMPUS RATE


There are a limited number of discounted rates for those that will be staying off campus. This years Off Campus rate is $700. This option includes all lunches and all other group activities, including any evening socials or concerts that we will be hosting during the week.

NOTE

All students under the age of 18 years of age need to be accompanied by a Chaperone per UCSC rules. You must register your chaperone at the same time as you register. Sorry but there can be NO exceptions.

FAMILY MEMBERS

Only Chaperone or Immediate Family members (with permission) may accompany a student to the Mandolin Symposium. Students must pay Symposium Registration and Housing costs. Chaperone or Family members will pay for Chaperone or Family members Housing costs only. (Class space is limited and only registered students may attend class.) Housing costs will be based upon occupancy requests. Chaperones must be same sex in order to share a bedroom on the University Campus.
