Silke Lisko and Rupert Gehrmann


Silke Lisko and Rupert Gehrmann have a successful international concert career as a duo and as players in chamber music ensembles in venues such as the Dundee Guitar Festival (Scotland), the Gdansk Conservatory (Poland), the Takamatsu International Mandolin Festival (Japan), Agoreine Paris (France), Konzerthaus Bamberg, Philharmonie Essen, Konzerthaus Berlin, Tonhalle Düsseldorf (Germany), Gnessins Academy Moscow, Rimskij-Kosakow Conservatory St. Petersburg (Russia) and Vissani International Guitar Festival (Greece), USA 2010 (Berklee College of Music Boston), Concert Tour China 2012, Novosibirsk Philharmony (RU).

They both give international Masterclasses and they both coach the JugendZupfOrchester of the state of North Rhine Westfalia (the national mandolin and guitar orchestra). Silke Lisko and Rupert Gehrmann have recorded for radio and TV stations, among others for the BBC and for the French-German cultural TV channel ARTE. They perform works by Bach, Scarlatti, Vivaldi, Rameau, Leone, Calace, Piazzolla.

Silke Lisko took over the position as Professor of Mandolin in Wuppertal, Germany for Caterina Lichtenberg during her one year sabatical in 2011-12 at the Conservatory of Cologne. She is also teaching mandolin in Switzerland at the Lucerne Conservatory.

Rupert Gehrmann teaches at the national conservatory HfMT Köln and in Switzerland (Basel, Stans).
